This weeks top of the table clash saw Postal fail to make home green advantage count in a 5-4 defeat from their rivals and it follows a similar 5-4 defeat the previous weel away to Wardie. Both fixtures were golden opportunities for Postal to cement themselves into a strong position for, first time ever, promotion to Division1but with three games remaining they need to deliver away to Dudley, at home to Leith, and away to Summerside.
Brunstane look sure to pressure the leaders on the run in and with the top two going up their prospects look good however they face a tough test at home to Wardie in their next game then entertain West End followed by a visit to Goldenacre. Wardie, who have previous experience as a Division 1 club, sit five points off the pace but can spoil the party if producing a strong set of finishing run results away to Brunstane, at home to Summerside, and away to Leith. Carrick Knowe’s 5-4 defeat at Colinton in Division 4 was their first in 11 but they remain 27 points leaders ahead of Bainfield who won 5-4 away to Merchiston. Sighthill’s 9-0 wain away to Coltbbridge made it 9 out of 9 for the Division 5 leaders who have accumulated 75 points and are followed by Gorgie Mills 66, Trinity 43, Braid 39, Tramways 33, Portobello 26, Coltbridge 15.
