Balbardie gents made a dreadful start to their New Year resumption in Division 1A having crashed to a costly 95-56 defeat on their away visit to foot of the table Dundee. It was the Bathgate based sides fourth defeat in eight and with a short two game run in they share second bottom rung with Dundee, and just a single point ahead of foot of the table Headwell. Balbardie face table toppers Fraser burgh at Bathgate this weekend while Dundee are at home to Coatbridge and Headwell entertain Cumbernauld.
Last weekends prelim round action in the nationwide Team Championship event saw West Lothian crushed 8-0 by Midlothian at Bainfield, and Balbardie make a 6-2 exit to Falkirk at Stirling.
