Lorraine Craig bids for title glory in two major national disciplines this weekend with the super star figure from Balbardie IBC parading her skills in the Singles and 2Bowl Pairs events of the Scottish Championships being staged at Blantyre IBC.

Craig’s lead in the 2Bowl Pairs is her regular and fellow star from the Bathgate based club in the shape of Sharon Leitch.
The banner of West Lothian IBC will also be represented in the showcase occasion with Inveralmond Stadium champion Richard Mark campaigning to bring the Blue Ribbon Gents Singles crown back to Livingston.
The Last Four line up in the Ladies Singles is awesome with Caroline Brown defending the title in front of her own Blantyre support and opening against Emma Mcintyre of Dumbarton.
While Craig – twice winner of the Outdoor Title – goes head to head in her semi final with two times champion Lesley Doig of East Fife.
The Leitch/Craig partnership captured the 2Bowl Pairs title in the 2013 championships so are no strangers to the pathway to glory and their latest adventure presents a semi final challenge against Karen Magee and Rachael Sinclair of West of Scotland.
The other semi final features Laura Cox and Wendy Grant of Ardrossan against Angela and Carla Banks of Garioch.
The climax to the Gents Singles is a massive crowd pleaser and pitches the richly talented Richard Mark into the midst of three international giants of the sport in the shape of Bill Mellors, Stewart Anderson, and Paul Foster MBE.
Mark crosses swords with 2015 champion Billy Mellors (East Lothian) while world champion figures Anderson (Blantyre) and Foster (Prestwick) clash in the other semi final.
