Scottish Glory for Aaron Betts.   A Scottish title returned to the Alex Marshall Arena on Sunday when Aaron Betts won the Scottish Under 18 singles title at Auchinleck.  East Lothian had previously won this title in 2014 when Calum Darling was the first winner of this event.

There were mixed emotions at the Alex Marshall Arena following the National Pairs play-downs on Sunday with joy for gents’ pair of Scott Kennedy and Billy Mellors who secured a semi-final spot while there was heartache for the ladies pairing of Mags Thomson and Lauren Baillie-Whyte who were just pipped in the quarter final.

The gents returned to Premier League action last Saturday when they made the tough trip north to tackle Aberdeen, who are a notoriously strong home side, however, a win was a must in order to keep pace with Blantyre. 

The National Triples play-offs took place at Midlothian last weekend.  Our gents’ triple of Ewan Fallen, David Sked and Joe Mower recorded two great wins on Saturday to move through to the last sixteen on Sunday.
