As many of you will now know the Indoor Bowling Season has now been curtailed due to the current issues and Government advice in relation to the Coronavirus. Members are asked to follow the clubs Facebook and web page for updates on decisions which will be made in relation to the leagues which are incomplete while all Scottish ties will be carried forward to next season. Also cancelled is this season’s Jock Brodie tournament while the Scottish Finals and Seniors and Gents Scottish Cups which we have teams in the Final and Semi-Finals of will also be completed next season.
Read More Last weekend the Gents internationals were played at Llanelli in Wales in which Scott Kennedy and Jamie Higgins formed part of the Scotland team and were joined by Team Manager Mark Johnston. The Scots were impressive form in their opening two games and handed out an 121-06 defeat to Ireland and added a resounding 143-88 victory over Wales. This set up the deciding game against England. The Scots trailed early on and found themselves twenty two shots down after twelve ends before rallying across the carpet and hitting the front by two shots after seventeen ends. However, the English outscored the Scots 27-13 over the last few ends to run out 123-111 victors. Scott playing at third alongside Darren Weir, Connor Milne and Paul Foster MBE recorded three victories in their games while Jamie lead in the rink with James Speirs, James Rippey and Neil Speirs and won two of their three games.
