Last Saturday 23rd seen the league presentation day hosted by Division One Champions Cockenzie & Port Seton when all ELBA clubs were invited to attend and all League winners were presented with their trophies. For the first time this also seen the Youth league winners presented as well. The full list of winners was as follows:
Turning attention to the indoor season, East Lothian Indoor Bowling Club is now fully open with the Top Four tournament as well as the Morning, Afternoon and Evening leagues all having commenced. Membership fees remain the same at £58 for full members and £30 for Junior Membership whilst all members are reminded that all fees are to be paid by Saturday 30th September. Rink fees remain at £3 and £4 for non-members.
Youth coaching is due to return from Friday 29th September 2-4pm and Saturday 30th September 8-10am. All youths are reminded to bring their £5 membership fee with them.
All those wishing to take part in Hat Games are reminded that these take place every Monday at 10am, Tuesday at 2pm and Saturday at Noon. These Hat Games are open to both members and non-members and would be an excellent introduction to the game for new bowlers or outdoor players wanting to sample the indoor game.

Whilst the Ladies and Gents National leagues do not commence until the 14th October the Seniors begin their campaign next Wednesday 4th at home to Teviotdale.
Members are also reminded that the closing date for pre-Christmas Scottish competitions and Team Championship entries is this Saturday 30th September following which all sheets will be taken down and draws made.
It is with sadness that we report the passing away of a stalwart of East Lothian Bowls both indoor and outdoor Gordon Johnston from Port Seton. As well as playing and following bowls for many a year Gordon was also a Past President of both Cockenzie and Port Seton Bowling Club and East Lothian Bowling Association. Gordon’s funeral takes place on Wednesday 4th October at Port Seton Parish Church at Noon, Prestonpans Cemetery at 1pm then onto Cockenzie & Port Seton Bowling Club afterwards.
