Recently crowned British Isles Pairs Champions, namely Ronnie Duncan and Colin Walker are back in domestic action this weekend as members of the formidable Midlothian team tackling Falkirk at Perth in the quarterfinals of the indoor bowls Scottish Cup.
Midlothian have etched their name on the coveted silverware on four occasions but the last time was back in season 2004 so there is high hopes at the Dalkeith Stadium that 2015 will bridge the long gap and also bring high value compensation for an unlucky premier league campaign. The league campaign saw Midlothian win seven out of ten games to finish joint top of the A section with Blantyre but miss out on the playoff final on shot difference while Falkirk competed in the B section and won four out of ten to finish in fourth place.“Falkirk are an able team so we won’t be underestimating the danger they represent to us but we have four excellent skips giving our team a strong back bone and the hope is that the club winning three British Isles titles brings an extra boost to our morale”, said team manager Frank Gray.Gray has named the following team, Rink 1. Colin Cook, Ian Fleming, Colin MacFarlane, and Billy Peacock.Rink 2. Jack Macnab, Kevin McDougall, Davy Munro, and Ronnie Duncan.Rink 3. Ian Forbes, Paul Innes, AJ Knight, and Colin Walker.Rink 4.
