Arbroath have already etched their name on the trophy three times and are the defending champions so represent tough opposition for a Balbardie team of ten that will have regular stalwart figure Morven Shearer missing the action. Shearer’s place at lead to her brother Ewan in the Fours is taken over by Catherine Lochran who forms the front-end with Margo Duff while Ritchie Templeton lines up at third. Peter Lynch is the spearhead figure in the Singles while Brian Craig leads to Commonwealth Games internationalist Lorraine Malloy in the Pairs. Walter McDougall skips Kim Ross and Sharon Leitch in the Triples. The other semi final features West of Scotland and Blantyre at Paisley IBC.
