The inaugural staging of the Paul Lynas Memorial Triples at the West Lothian IBC was voted an outstanding success as a fantastic day unfolded embracing the potent blend of Great Bowling from the 20 or so Triples, Great Music by DJ Tubz, Loads of Laughs and Banter, Delicious Food and ample Refreshments of Wines Beers Spirits and Soft Drinks.
The runners up prize went to the trio of Thomas Mann, Cameron Greer, and Calum Logan but the major winners of the day were The British Heart Foundation who were presented with the fantastic sum of £1385.
The climax to finals week at the Inveralmond Stadium was highlighted by the clash of Craig Moss and George Sneddon in the Gents Singles and it was Moss that gathered most of the shots as he celebrated a handsome 21-7 victory over his celebrated 48 times capped opponent.
The final of the Ladies Singles featured two players of international status and the victory salute was triggered by Jenifer Richardson at the 21-11 expense of Lisa Barrett.
Nathan McKendrick etched his name on the silverware of the Gents Under 25 Singles having delivered a strong performance to defeat Darren Pearce, 21-8.
The spotlight also focused on the Gents 2Bowl Pairs and the partnership that basked in the champions limelight was Bryan Cooper and Neil Speirs who battled to a 2-0 sets win over Gary Orr and Mark Allison.
The Annual opening highlight of the Outdoor Season is the rich £1000 Ratho Open Pairs sponsored by Belhaven Brewery with the popular event being staged on Saturday May 4th.
