Balbardie step up their campaign in the Scottish Team Championship with a second round clash against Alloa at Headwell on Sunday. The team line up reads; Singles: Lorraine Craig; Pairs: Morven Shearer and Ewan Shearer; Triples: Betty Johnston, Sean McBride, and Andy Forrest; Fours: Kim Ross, Sharon Leitch, Davie Ross, and Walter McDougall.

West Lothian Seniors survived an epic prelim round battle against Abbeyview at Stirling having clinched a 6-4 victory in a nail biting climax and dramatic last bowl magic.
The rink points were shared 4-4 and the master scoreboard showed a 62-62 tie on shots aggregate with delivery of the final bowl of the match nestling in West Lothian hands.
George Sneddon emerged the hero figure with the former star of the international stage facing shot and match lie against him but pulling victory out of the hat by conjuring up a magic draw under the immense pressure. Sneddon had already helped save what was shaping up as a lost cause by carding a vital 4 shots on his penultimate end and over the 17-ends skipped George Clark, Ian McGill, and David Boyd to a 16-11 win over L Kerr.
The other brace of match points were contributed by Duncan Lawson finishing on a double to skip David Landles, Tommy Turnbull, and Bob Mackay to a 19-15 win over R Downie. Ian Robertson and his rink of Davie Anderson, Brian Walker, and Alistair Stenhouse lost 20-16 to T Hutchison but helped the match cause with a vital count of 3 on the final end. David Wilson and his front-three of John Black, Stan Gardner, and George Marshall recovered well from 11-3 down to lose 16-12 to A Bernard.
